New York, June 13 (ANI): United States Democratic Party front-runner Hillary Clinton is due to hold her first major political rally shortly at New York's Roosevelt Island in her bid to be president in 2016.

At the rally, Clinton is expected to outline her key policies to thousands of her supporters.

On Friday, Clinton's team released a video in which projected herself as the champion of the "everyday American".

If successful, Clinton would be the first female U.S. president, the BBC reports.

So far, she has held small events with selected audiences in early voting states such as Iowa. Saturday's outdoor rally marks a change in gear for her campaign.

At Saturday's rally, however, she s not expected to detail specific policy proposals. (ANI with inputs)
