District Wide Roadblocks Net Over 40 Traffic Violators

BRUNEI-MUARA: A total of twenty three compound fines and twelve docket cases were recorded while thirteen reminders were issued during a joint operation 'Operasi Sepadu' at several location in the Brunei-Muara District late last night.

The operation involved personnel’s of the Royal Brunei Police Force through the Traffic Investigative and Control Department and Police Stations in the Brunei-Muara District.

Some eighty police personnel set up roadblocks on main roads in the Brunei-Muara District, including the Tungku Highway, Menglait and Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha.

The operation was aimed to eradicate all criminal and unlawful activities.

Meanwhile, a similar operation also took place last night involving one hundred and eighty police personnel focused on the areas in Sengkurong, Batu Ampar, Batong, Junjungan, Kasat and Lumapas.

Operasi Sepadu aims to ensure that all road users take the responsibility in maintaining road safety and always obey the traffic law and regulations.

The crime prevention patrolled resettlement areas in Kg Lambak and Kg Rimba as well as commercial areas in Kiulap, Gadong and Menglait. ©BRUDIRECT.COM
