Dec.18 Trend: In the worst case scenario, Russia will need two years to get out of the crisis, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at his 10th annual large press conference on Dec.18.

He said the current situation in Russia’s economy was primarily triggered by external factors, RIA Novosti reported.

Russian president also expressed hope that the trend of decrease in the exchange rate of foreign currencies and strengthening of Russian ruble will continue, adding that if the situation in the country’s economy gets worse, there will be need to adjust the plans.
