Ankara, Dec. 18 By Rufiz Hafizoglu – Trend: An Iranian citizen was detained in Ankara near the US Embassy in Turkey, Milliyet newspaper reported Dec. 18.

A 19-year-old Iranian citizen Mohammed A. threw his bag at the door of the embassy, which caused confusion and panic among passers-by.

The Iranian citizen was detained by the embassy guards and transferred to the law enforcement agencies of Turkey. The bag was empty.

The investigation is underway. The detainee is a student of one of the Turkish universities, according to the preliminary data.
