Prince Charles news

London, May 24 (ANI): A Kremlin-funded news channel reportedly broadcasted a segment mocking Prince Charles and the royal family by tracing their family history back to the Nazis.
The video attack was a deliberate attempt to get back at Prince Charles, who recently caused a diplomatic row on tour in Canada when he likened Putin to Hitler while speaking to a Jewish survivor of the second world war.
According to The Guardian, the pro-Russia broadcaster Russia Today (RT) regaled viewers with a mocked-up family tree linking royals to Nazis in a 'Takes one to know one' video poking the embers of the House of Windsor's German past.
Taking a dig at the British royal family, the channel showed sepia portraits of the Queen and family and declared on its "In the Now programme" that if anyone knows real Nazis it's the royal family.
After Prince Charles made the controversial remark, Clarence House was quick to term it "a private conversation."
However, Russia chose to not ignore the subsequent furore as the country's foreign ministry declared that "these words, if they had been indeed uttered, are no compliment to the future British monarch."
The Russia n embassy described the failure of British officials to offer an "explanation" as a matter of regret, the report added. (ANI)
