Bhutan Nuns Foundation (BNF), a Bhutan–based NGO had received a gift of USD 1.2 million from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous, reports the bhutanobserver.bt

This is the largest single donation that BNF has received yet.

The executive director of BNF, Dr Tashi Zangmo, arranged Indonesian couple’s audience with Her Majesty the Queen Mother Tshering Yangdon Wangchuck, patron of the Foundation, to express foundation’s appreciation.

“It was really a humbling experience to see a donor who gave without any strings attached. He fully trusted us in terms of budget allocation and gave from the heart,” Dr Tashi Zangmo.

Fifty percent of the gift will be used to start the construction of a training centre in Tshalumaphy.
