Sanaa, Sept. 13 (Xinhua-ANI): Dozens of protesters were wounded Thursday morning in clashes with Yemeni security forces as the protesters stormed the U.S. embassy in Sanaa.

Protesters set fire to a number of diplomatic vehicle as well as part of the building as security forces used water cannons and warning shots in a bid to drive them out.

Clashes erupted between protesters and Yemeni security forces inside and around the U.S. embassy in Yemen's capital Sanaa after hundreds of demonstrators stormed the embassy as part of widespread anger across the Muslim world over a U.S.-made movie that insults Prophet Mohammed.

According to the BBC news, protesters angered by an anti-Islam film made in the US have stormed the grounds of the American embassy in the Yemeni capital Sanaa. Police shot in the air in an attempt to hold back the crowds, but failed to prevent them gaining access to the compound and setting fire to vehicles. Security forces have now regained control of the compound.
