NEW YORK, U.S. - Five identical statues of a naked Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump were erected simultaneously in New York City, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Cleveland on Thursday, sparking a barrage of posts on social media.

According to reports, the studio behind the project was the self-described “American Activist Collective” INDECLINE, and artist Joshua Monroe was behind the rendering of a life-size ‘constipated’ looking, yellow-haired, pot-bellied, nude Donald Trump, titled “The Emperor Has No Balls.”

The artists used the alias “Ginger” to sign the statues to avoid “backlash,” and had “very specific criteria” as to what the statue would include and what it would not.”

The statues, requiring over 1,500 hours of work over the course of four months to be completed, were intended to mockingly tribute the “modern day Emperor of Fascism and Bigotry.”

A spokesperson for the artist group said, “Like it or not, Trump is a larger-than-life figure in world culture at the moment. Looking back in history, that's how those figures were memorialised and idolised in their time - with statues.”

The collective expressed hope that Trump “is never installed in the most powerful political and military position in the world.”
The statues were built “lightweight” for demolition, and the New York City statue saw its end fairly quick at the hands of New York's department of parks and recreation.

They said in a very cheeky statement, “NYC Parks stands firmly against any unpermitted erection in city parks, no matter how small,” and proceeded to rip the statue from its base and smash the feet to pieces.

Trump’s campaign has declined to comment on the statues.

Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio, said, when asked for opinions on the statue, “That is a frightening thought. When he's wearing clothes I don't like him.”
This was not the collective’s first anti-Trump art, as they had previously spray-painted a gagged Trump on a U.S.-Mexico border fence in Tijuana, Mexico.
Monroe said that the intent was not to “fat-shame” Trump, and added, “If it were a statue of Hillary everyone would be crying sexism and misogyny. [The piece] was readily accepted because he is a man and one who is quick to body-shame. To see him standing in public wearing no clothes is, to me, hilarious.”

Both Monroe and the studio are eager to create statues of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton next, “in a heartbeat. I have utter detest for her and her rapist husband.”

A statue of Senator Bernie Sanders may also be in the offing, as the collective said, “If he had gotten the nomination we probably would [have left] good old Bernie alone.”

Meanwhile, social media also witnessed Trump labelling himself "Mr. Brexit," through a tweet, for a seemingly unknown reason.
The enigmatic tweet read, "They will soon be calling me MR. BREXIT!"

Twitter users responded fittingly, with one user asking, "Does "Mr. Brexit" mean that people will Google him the day after and realise how big of a mistake it was? #Brexit #Trump"
